Conference "From the Origin of the Earth to the appearance of Life" Rome 6th March 2008 After the first success in Florence last December 2007, the roving Conference continues in Rome at the classroom and Grassi of the Faculty of Comparative Anatomy University of Rome "La Sapienza" . The conference has a purpose especially informative and is dedicated to all those who are interested in issues on origin of life on Earth and on search of sign of life in space. Participation is free.  Public Conference "From the origin of Earth to appearance of life Florence 17 december 2007 It is a roving public conference open to everyone interested on the origin of life. Registration fee is NOT requested, but booking in advance is mandatory.  "ABC-Net: Astrobiology Lecture Course Network" Organized by European Space Agency (ESA) Winter Semester 2007/08 Scientists from a wide variety of disciplines are gathering in the study of Astrobiology, in-cluding astronomy, planetary research, organic chemistry, palaeontology and the various sub disciplines of biology including microbial ecology and molecular biology. Space technology plays an important part by offering the opportunity for exploring our solar system, for collect-ing extraterrestrial samples and for utilising the peculiar environment of space as a tool. However, this full expertise in Astrobiology is not always available at a single university. To overcome this problem the European Space Agency (ESA) proposed an innovative format of tele-teaching based lectures: experts from different European universities covering the various fields of Astrobiology agreed to contribute and created the first successful pilot pro-ject in the academic year 2005/06: an Astrobiology Lecture Course Network (ABC-Net). On 23 October 2007 the ABC-Net and ESA officially kick-off the second academic year for this inititative: again the organisation of the event shall be conducted and supported by the ESA and its Erasmus Center. In Italy lessons are given at University "Parthenope" Naples and Universtity "La Tuscia" Viterbo. The course is organized by ESA in cooperation with the ESA Erasmo Center. Lessons are availabe in downstream http://webiss.estec.esa.int/ Astrobiology course is given every Tusday from 14.00 to 15.30 in 17 lessons (program), Students following the course will get university credits.
